Who’s in your corner?
About Land The Jab
Land The Jab is a program designed to engage young people in conversation about mental health. We use Boxing as a tool to explore the wisdom in the old colloquialisms such as “Down for the count”, and “who’s in your corner?” affording participants the awareness, and the tools to manage difficult situations in their lives.
Why it works…
We recognise the value of lived experience, and the strength that can be found in our darkest hour. Boxing is a metaphor for hard times and from it we share our great learnings.
While most are aware of the positive impacts exercise has on mental health, new studies reveal that coupling exercise with sequence and rhythm training (specifically boxing combinations) can help lower stress and improve problem solving skills.
Who’s it for?….
Land the Jab is designed for young people aged 15-25 as well as consumers connected to wellbeing programs. Land the Jab is an excellent choice for young people who need a little extra guidance, but aren’t yet ready to engage in clinical therapy.
